 EVERYTHING IS MUSIC FESTIVAL

13, 14, 15 July 2018

1st edition

CHÂTEAU DE LA RIVOIRE

Friday July 13
8 p.m.

FLAMENCO

Music & Dance

“It's raining love and razors”

La Nati is one of the most exciting Flamenco dancers of her generation. When she dances, it seems, in the words of the poet, that it is raining love and razors. At her side are Andalusian guitarist and virtuoso Luis Davila Oria and the unclassifiable clarinetist Hélios Azoulay.

A trio of souls and fire for an exceptional concert reserved for those who are not afraid to step on the hot embers of Flamenco.

La Nati (dance) - Luis Davila Oria (guitar) - Hélios Azoulay (clarinet)

[90 minutes]

Saturday July 14
6:30 p.m.

TANGO & BAROQUE MUSIC

“Pianos Don’t Pitch or Sway”

With his bandoneo, Olivier Innocenti is not only capable of rendering the music of Astor Piazzolla sublime with his rare elegance. You need only hear him transcending – with this same instrument – the pieces for harpsichord of François Couperin to be convinced that we are in the presence of a tightrope performer, a true “musician-explorer” of genius.

(bandoneon, bayan, Eigenharp)

[45 minutes]

(country dishes & red wine)

Saturday July 14
8 p.m.

JAZZ

“The Fire of the Tributaries”

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF PERFORMERS!

Etibar Asadli replaced by Laurent Epstein.

A fellow traveler of the greatest (including most recently Bireli Lagrène and Angelo Debarre), Laurent Epstein is a pianist of rare sensitivity.  There is, in his playing, an untamed childhood, intact and full of humor. Dazzling with generosity and talent, he joins forces today with Hélios Azoulay's wind turbine clarinet for a joyful, delirious and impromptu marriage.

A union that promises to de-standardize the standards,

because jazz is to be reinvented, as we know.

Laurent Epstein (piano) - Hélios Azoulay (clarinet)

SUNDAY JULY 14 at 6:30 p.m.

CLASSICAL MUSIC
Promenade Concert

“The Sound Does Not Escape Wandering”

Who has never dreamed of wandering around a castle and going astray to the point of indiscretion?

Take advantage of a unique “concert-promenade” to discover in music the most secret rooms of the Château de la Rivoire and feel the rebirth of the real atmosphere of what is so aptly called “chamber” music.

Incidental Music Ensemble

Sunday July 15

ONE MAN SHOW & CLASSICAL MUSIC

"Is Beethoven the Center of the World?"

Hélios Azoulay is undoubtedly the most elusive musician and showman of his generation. His performances are unlike anything known. “Is Beethoven the Center of the World?” is far more than just a concert.

In a spectacle as burlesque as it is erudite, Hélios and his Ensemble de Musique Incidentale upend the certitudes of classical music to lead you, in the manner of Chaplin, from laughter to tears, and from tears to tears of laughter.

Come discover the one Liberation has crowned the “King of the music-loving stand-up”!

Hélios Azoulay & the Incidental Music Ensemble

(mezzo-soprano, piano, string quartet, clarinet & Supreme Clarion)
